renaissance woman checking in with the blog world. my post today is on a travel spot. been doing some research on weekend gateways for adventure, romantic outings, and family fun. been checking out some resorts to go to for my 26th birthday with my better half and one of my family members placed a suggestion on the table and i thought i would share it would the blog community.

many of us talk about doing stuff for the new year but do you really do it? many different statistics show that in February many people don’t even keep up with there commitment like they should but in 2008 i am making some new changes..

i am 25 years old right now and i realize that life is apparently too short. yes i have my flaws and faults like any other person and if i expect to grow or do anything in life i have to make the necessary changes to do so.

yesterday was WORLD AIDS DAY…just because it was only one day i guarantee you that people will be like ok it was yesterday and???….the point is that this disease is taking the life of many people. it is slowly becoming the killer of African Americans young and old and its time we put a stop to it. my partner and i decided during October to take an AIDS test and a STD test. We both were negative for all things but the point that we took it showed that we are concerned and we wanted to know our STATUS…do you know yours? like common stated “Knowing is BEAUTIFUL” and i think that is true. Get involved with projects such as Project Red/Team Read. Dedicate sometime to educating yourself so that we can overcome this fight/struggle.

have you ever felt like that the person that you are presently is SO not the person you were destined to be? that is the crossroads that i am at currently. i look @ my surroundings and where i am in my life thus far and I pray that things get better for i know that 2008 will be much greater than my 07. 2007 was a really rough year for me in the beginning and things didn’t really turn around until August (truly speaking) but i plan to make sure that i connect with my higher being and speak to him more on a daily basis to let him know that i appreciate him with every breath of life he has given me.

i want to take a vacation soon and go somewhere and just let all of the stresses that i have here go. i need a place to unwind and that has healing waters. i was reading an article on yahoo about the 20 most beautiful beaches and i must say south beach Miami is looking good to me.

if i could give any words to encourage and inspire people old or young, it would be to live life to the fullest. the way society and the world is today, we are SO not promised tomorrow so live everyday with no regrets and like its your last.

so many people don’t understand what it means to truly lose a parent…it amazes me that some people can still go forward with everyday life and others on the other hand are trying to keep things all together…

while i was on the vh1.com website i saw a video (attached to my blog) of Kanye trying to keep it together while performing “hey mama”….he ended up totally weeping and showing emotion but to me it just made me become a person with more humility…i have always respected him as an artist but even more now as a person considering the tragedy he is currently going through…

whenever kanye was performing, his mother was always usually at his side…she taught him many things about life and also about giving back…i know that his mother is proud of him and she is smiling down on him in heaven….the W O R L D is with you kanye during your time of need…it should make everyone appreciate people in your life because at any moment you can be unsure of when G O D will call them home…..

if kanye would everyone read my blog, i just want you to read the passage of Isaiah 40 verses 28-31. it will give you some comfort despite the storm…we, the people, are here with you and will continue to be with you on this new chapter (despite it’s circumstances) in your life….

So today is my first entry. i wasn’t ready to share my thoughts with the world but I thought now that it was time.

So many people love for the world of blogging such as myself. I find it fascinating to read into the minds of others especially depending on what they are talking about.

At the current moment, I am watching my Baltimore Ravens play Ocho Cinco and his Bengals. It’s amazing how much sports can provide so many bonding moments with your peers over a common love of the game.

So the wife (yes, i said my wife), and apollo (my puggle, he’s a mess) are watching the game while i am multi-tasking (i’m typing to you all, typing a memo for court although i’m off tommorrow, and watching the game (while also playing with my sidekick).

Speaking of my sidekick, i just coped the new sidekick lx and i must say, it is the ish . it’s so much better than the sk3 and the slide (all my sidekick heads are with me on that ). I had the brown one but it wasn’t all that but the blue one made m day. anyways, the new upgrades in the fireware are great as well as other things that it deals with but i likes it. I was thinking about changing my username/tmail though. mines is to professional but i know that Kristen Elizabeth is probably taken. so Kris Eliz is just like the shorter version of those to me. (Let me know your suggestions if you have any).

i have a tendacy to write random and odd things but also things of substance as well (it’s the CAPRICORN in me).

i can’t wait to let you into my world and i hope you enjoy it. it can be crazy at times but i love it
